LODGE

TAXES

Room Rates are inclusive of 15% Government Goods & Services Tax.

DEPOSIT

A one-night deposit is required to confirm a reservation, and a valid credit card must be held on file to maintain a secured reservation.

To maintain a confirmed reservation, full payment is due 1 week thereafter, and is non-refundable on cancellation.

Reservations of 3+ rooms are considered a group and further booking conditions apply. Group bookings are taken at the sole discretion of the property and additional conditions may apply.

PAYMENT

Payment can be made by Visa, Mastercard, American Express or Bank transfer. A 2.5% convenience fee will be applied to payments made by credit card.

ARRIVAL AND  DEPARTURE

Check-in is from 2.30p.m. on the day of arrival and check-out is at 10.30am on the day of departure.

Early check in or late check out are subject to availability and upon request. Luggage storage service is provided complimentary if needed and guests are welcome to use the lodge facilities on day of departure. 

TRANSFERS

Tin Tub offers a private luxury car transfer which can be requested from Guest Relations, for an additional fee. 

ADDITIONAL PERSONS

Tin Tub is not generally suitable for children under 14 years, but may be available on request (dependant on other bookings), and will be charged at NZ$150 (inc GST) per night when occupying an adult's room using existing or additional bedding.  Kindly contact guest relations directly for additional information.

PETS

No pets allowed.

NO SMOKING

Tin Tub Lodge is wholly smoke-free as a commitment to providing a safe and healthy environment for guests and associates alike. Our smoke-free policy applies to cigarettes, cigars, pipes (including electronic and e-cigarettes), and vape pens or e-cigars.

NO DRONES

The use of unmanned aerial systems is strictly prohibited on or above resort property.

PRIVACY

General
Your privacy is important to us.  We developed this Privacy Policy to demonstrate our commitment to ensuring your privacy and to enable you to understand what information we gather, how we use that information and how we correct or change it.  We reserve the right to change this Privacy Policy at any time without notice.  By using this website or acquiring our products and services you agree to our use of your Personal Information in accordance with this Privacy Policy (as amended from time to time).  We are bound by the Privacy Principles contained in the Privacy Act 1993 (New Zealand) (Privacy Act) and nothing in this Privacy Policy is intended to exclude or limit any rights that you may have under the Privacy Act.
Collection of Personal Information

Personal Information is any information that can or may be used to identify you and may include:

·    Contact details, including your name, email address, physical and/or postal address and other contact details;

·    Payment information, including credit or debit card number and expiry data:

·    Information about your reservation or booking; and

·    Information relating to your use of our website.

We collect Personal Information from you in the following circumstances:

·    When you visit or use our website (please also see Cookies and Tracking, below);

·    When you acquire products or services from us, in particular when you make a reservation / book accommodation with us;

·    When you register, create and update an account with us; and

·    When you make any inquiry or complaint.

Failure to provide certain Personal Information may result in some parts of the website or our products or services not being available to you.
Use of Personal Information

We may use your Personal Information for any of the following purposes:

·    To provide the products and services requested by you including completing your bookings and providing the accommodation that you have ordered;

·    To authorise and process payment transactions;

·    To verify your identity and enable you to access our products and services;

·    To communicate with you and to assist with any inquiries or complaints you may have;

·    To carry out credit checks;

·    To improve, develop or analyse our products and services;

·    Where necessary, to enforce any legal rights we may have, or to protect the rights, property and safety of you, us and others;

·    Where we are authorised by law; or

·    To provide information to you about us, our products and services and any other important news or developments which we consider may be of interest to you.

We are entitled to use your Personal Information for the above purposes for one or all of the following reasons:

·    It is necessary so that we can perform our obligations under contracts with you;

·    It is necessary so that we can comply with our legal obligations;

·    It is necessary for the purposes of legitimate interests pursued by us; or

·    You have consented to us using your Personal Information for this use.

Sharing Personal Information

We may share your Personal Information (or such parts of it as a reasonably necessary) in the following circumstances:

·    With third parties who provide services for us, including credit agencies and payment processors;

·    With third parties when we believe in good faith that we are required to do so by law;

·    With other third parties where you authorise or request us to do so;

·    To our related entities in connection with the provision of products and services; and

·    To government and law enforcement agencies.

We may provide tracking information and other information that does not personally identify you to third parties such as our advertisers and business partners.

Holding, Security and Updating Personal Information

We will keep your Personal Information only for as long as is reasonably necessary, having regard to the purpose of collection and in accordance with applicable legal requirements.

We take reasonable steps to ensure the appropriate use of your Personal Information, to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure of your Personal Information and to ensure that your Personal Information is accurately and securely maintained.

We will take all reasonable steps to ensure your Personal Information is accurate and up to date.

Rights in respect of Personal Information

You have the following rights in respect of your Personal Information that we hold:

·    Right of Access - to request access to your Personal Information;

·    Right of Rectification – to request that we rectify your Personal Information if it is inaccurate or incomplete;

·    Right to Erasure – to request that we erase your Personal Information;

·    Right to Restrict – to request that we stop processing some of your Personal Information;

·    Right to Data Portability – to request a copy of your Personal Information and to have that Personal

·    Information transmitted to another data controller; and

·    Right to Object - to object to certain types of processing of your Personal Information and to your Personal Information being used for the direct marketing purposes.

To make any request you should contact us via the details provided in the Contact section of this Privacy Policy or where applicable as set out below.  We will respond to your requests in respect of the above rights within a reasonable time period. Whilst we will respond to your requests we may not be required to comply with your requests where an exception or limitation applies under applicable law. In some cases, there may be an administrative charge reflecting our reasonable costs of providing copies of your Personal Information to you. If so, we will advise you of this prior to sending your information to you.

Cookies and Tracking

Cookies are text files that are stored on your computer or device, and may be used by us to:

·    Personalise your use of our website;

·    Enable us to improve the content, reliability and functionality of our products and services;

·    Enable you to use certain services or functionality;

Cookies may also be used by advertisers through our website.  We have no control over and are not responsible for the use of such cookies or the information that is generated through the use of such cookies.

Email

Emails are regulated by the Unsolicited Electronic Messages Act 2007 and in compliance with this Act, we will not send you a commercial electronic message unless permitted to do so.  You can elect not to receive emails from us about our products and services and any other important news or developments which we consider may be of interest to you by choosing to opt out of any email subscription at any time by taking any one of the following steps:

·    Using the unsubscribe feature in the message;

·    Logging in to your account (if any) and updating the appropriate preferences (if available) for that account; or

·    Contacting us via the Contact Details below.

Complaints

If you have any concerns or complaints about the manner in which your Personal Information has been collected or managed by us, please contact us.

We will endeavour to resolve any complaint to your satisfaction. However, if you are unhappy with our response, you may contact the Privacy Commissioner who may investigate your complaint further. CANCELLATION

For stays May through September:

  • Cancellation outside 31-days of arrival will incur a $250 booking administration fee. This will be deducted from the deposit paid, and the balance of funds returned.

  • Up to 31 days prior to arrival you may postpone travel dates to a revised stay date within six-months of the original booking and the full deposit will be transferred.

  • Cancellation between 31 and 15-days of arrival will result in a 50% charge for room nights cancelled.

  • From 14 days prior to arrival, cancellation will result in the full charge for room nights cancelled.

 

For stays in January to April, October to December, and:

  • Cancellation outside 90-days of arrival will incur a $250 booking administration fee. This will be deducted from the deposit paid, and the balance of funds returned.

  • Up to 61 days prior to arrival you may postpone your travel dates to a revised stay date within six-months of the original booking and the full deposit will be transferred.

  • Cancellation between 90 and 61-days of arrival will result in a 50% charge for room nights cancelled.

  • From 60-days prior to arrival, cancellation will result in the full charge for room nights cancelled.

PHOTOSHOOTING

Photo Shooting Policy for In-House Guests & Walk-In Guests Who Do Not Stay at the Hotel

In order to protect the privacy, uninterrupted enjoyment and safety of guests and associates at Tin Tub Lodge, we have a policy regarding image gathering (photo and video shooting):

  • Professional photo or video shooting is not allowed in rooms or any area within Tin Tub Lodge, for either in-house or walk-in guests.

  • Any attempt to capture photos or videos using professional equipment will be considered a professional photo shoot, and a photo shooting package fee will be applied.

  • Guests are welcomed to capture memories with their mobile phones for non-commercial purposes, provided they comply with the policies outlined here.

  • Any requests for professional photo shoots during a guest’s stay must be communicated to Tin Tub Lodge in advance or at the time of reservation. Tin Tub Lodge reserves the right to apply package fees and conditions for photo shoots upon check-in or to reject any crew arriving without prior notice.

  • Changing outfits at Tin Tub Lodge premises for photography, whether using a mobile phone or a camera, will be considered a professional photo shoot. In such cases, the photography package fee will be applied.

  • Of course, any guest may touch up their look at Tin Tub Lodge.  However, professional services such as applying makeup, styling hair with a makeup artist, or using professional equipment to alter appearance are not permitted anywhere in Tin Tub Lodge, without permission.

  • Tin Tub Lodge respects the privacy of all guests. Guests taking photos or professional teams conducting shoots must commit not to capture or include in photographs any exposure of other guests or staff (front or back view) without the explicit approval of each of the individuals concerned.

  • All photo shoot inquiries are subject to hotel availability and must be approved, case by case, by Tin Tub Lodge (in its sole discretion). Please advise crew size, scope of the shoot, and technical requirements.

  • Tin Tub Lodge reserves the right to reject any use of Tin Tub Lodge imagery, or any visually identifiable items that would uniquely identify the property, for commercial or promotional purposes without prior notification and approval from Tin Tub Lodge.

  • Tin Tub Lodge is not liable for any images taken or used, including licencing.

  • The use of tape, glue, nails, or any other fixation type on Tin Tub Lodge walls or doors is not allowed.
